On-line FUndraising consultant

Duty station: Republic of Korea

The incumbent shall work in the Private Partnerships Unit for Asia and focus on developing online fundraising strategy for the Republic of Korea and positioning WFP in the ROK market through heightened online visibility for WFP and its works. Responsibilities include developing online fundraising infrastructure and partnerships with online media and donor acquisition sources; leveraging celebrity partnerships in online fundraising; pursuing donor acquisition through search engine advertising; leveraging WFP’s online tools and ensuring that WFP is strategically leveraging all available digital fundraising channels including mobile.

Results Expected:

Ÿ  Recruitment of individual supporters and donors in ROK

Ÿ  Growth in number of monthly donors

Ÿ  Exponentially increase funds raised online

Ÿ  Greater online presence in ROK / increased visibility of WFP

Ÿ  Emergency fundraising outreach activated, if applicable

Requirements:

Ÿ   Track record of success in online fundraising showing strong return on investments in terms of money raised and donors recruited

Ÿ   Excellent understanding of the online media industry in ROK and possess ability to develop and execute an online strategy

Ÿ   Proven understanding of online payments

Ÿ   Understanding of development context, work of WFP, other   government and multilateral agencies and NGOs – development communications background a key asset

Ÿ   Strong written and oral communications skills and excellent    presentation skills

Ÿ   Proven ability to devise and oversee annual plans, develop strategies to take advantage of opportunities and minimize risks, build in accountability and results measurement

Ÿ   Proven ability to work within a team

Ÿ   Ability to work in a team environment, coordinate assignment and communicate complex matters both verbally and in writing English and Korean

Qualifications:

5 years relevant experience; bilingual in Korean and English
