Duties and Accountabilities
Under the direct supervision of Head of WFP Korea Office, within delegated authority, an intern will mainly have the following areas of responsibility:

The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. In 2012, WFP aims to feed 90 million people in more than 70 countries. The WFP ROK office is located in Seoul and works mainly for fundraising for private and government sector.
(6월 24일자: Addis Ababa) 유엔세계식량계획(United Nations World Food Prorgamme, WFP)은 오늘 에티오피아의 “발전을 위한 구매(Purchase for Progress, P4P)” 프로젝트의 공식적인 시작을 발표하였다. 빌&멜린다 게이츠 재단(Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation)의 후원을 받는 이 사업을 통해 WFP는 향후 5년 동안 소규모 자작농으로부터 126,000톤의 식량 구매할 계획이다.
P4P는 WFP의 현지구매정책을 확대한 프로젝트로서 소규모 자작농들이 재배하는 농산물을 WFP가구입하여 식량지원 프로그램에 활용하고, 이들이 현지 농산물 시장에서 경쟁력 있는 주체가 되도록 지원한다.
