Duties and Accountabilities
Under the direct supervision of Head of WFP Korea Office, within delegated authority, an intern will mainly have the following areas of responsibility:

7월 20일 유엔세계식량계획 유튜브(https://youtube.com/wfpkorea)에 공개된 영상 “WFP x Sonny, We Deliver!”에 손흥민 선수가 직접 목소리를 기부하는 영상 나레이션으로 참여했다. 해당 영상은 세계 최대의 인도주의 기구이자, 2020년 노벨평화상 수상기관인 WFP의 미션과 활동을 담은 영상으로 손흥민 선수와 기관의 공통점을 담아 연출됐다.
해당 영상에는 WFP가 식량으로 생명을 구하고 유엔 최고의 수송 기관임을 보여주는 역동적인 구호 현장과 손 선수의 경기에서의 빠른 움직임, 가장 필요할 때 해결사 역할, 한국의 국격을 높이는 모습들이 나온다.
(6월 24일자: Addis Ababa) 유엔세계식량계획(United Nations World Food Prorgamme, WFP)은 오늘 에티오피아의 “발전을 위한 구매(Purchase for Progress, P4P)” 프로젝트의 공식적인 시작을 발표하였다. 빌&멜린다 게이츠 재단(Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation)의 후원을 받는 이 사업을 통해 WFP는 향후 5년 동안 소규모 자작농으로부터 126,000톤의 식량 구매할 계획이다.
P4P는 WFP의 현지구매정책을 확대한 프로젝트로서 소규모 자작농들이 재배하는 농산물을 WFP가구입하여 식량지원 프로그램에 활용하고, 이들이 현지 농산물 시장에서 경쟁력 있는 주체가 되도록 지원한다.
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. In 2012, WFP aims to feed 90 million people in more than 70 countries. The WFP ROK office is located in Seoul and works mainly for fundraising for private and government sector.
After five years of a brutal and senseless conflict over a quarter of a million Syrians have been killed and over half the population forced from their homes out of fear and want.지난 5년 간의 분쟁으로 25만 명 이상의 시리아 인이 사망했으며, 시리아 인구 절반의 이상이 공포와 필요에 의해 집을 떠나야만 했습니다. Some 4.6 million people are barely existing in places that few can leave and aid cannot reach.
