WFP는 협력 기관들과 현장에서 지진의 피해와 인도적 수요 현황을 파악 중이다. Giyan, Barmal, Paktika, Spera, Khost 등이 가장 심각한 피해를 본 것으로 파악 중이며, 이 중 Barmal에서는 70%의 주택이 완전히 붕괴된 것으로 알려졌다.

한국 정부의 이번 공여는 즉석식품(Immediate Response Rations, IRR) 약 339t에 달하는 규모로, 우크라이나 주민 11만 2,000명에게 4개월동안 지급될 수 있다. 즉석식품은 현지 식습관에 맞춰졌으며 균형잡힌 영양을 공급한다. 통조림 육류, 강낭콩, 식물성 기름, 고열량 비스킷(High Energy Biscuits) 등이 포함되며, 5일까지 섭취가 가능하다.
